Why Cosmic Junk?

At this very moment, in the not-too-distant reaches of space, there are 130 million pieces of Cosmic Junk (space debris) orbiting Planet Earth. These range from structures as large as the International Space Station (109m/357ft), down to objects under 1 cm, like paint flecks.

In a similar way, we and our Sun (among at least 100 billion other Suns, with their own Planets) are orbiting around the Milky Way Galaxy.

There are likely around 2 trillion other Galaxies, with as many of their own Suns and Planets swirling around them, in this unbelievably huge Universe we live in.

At this scale, nothing we do is even remotely noticeable. All of our Failures and Achievements that we take so seriously don’t even make a scratch on the Cosmos.

When it comes down to it, we are all insignificant paint flecks floating in an Endless Void.

We are all Cosmic Junk.

Why Me?

I’m Dane.

You can usually find me creating, gaming, or being a general piece of junk. I started doing 3D art in Blender in 2017, and have gotten a little bit better since then.
